James "Macy" DuBose, Sr., 75, of Groves, Texas passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013. Macy was born November 18, 1937 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Jack Weber DuBose, Sr. and Winnie Harrington DuBose. An area resident for 36 years he retired as manager of Sabine Pass Port Authority. He was a member of Sabine Pass United Methodist Church and was a mason of the Aransas Pass Lodge. Macy was also a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Jack W. DuBose, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Rebecca DuBose of Groves; daughter, Remasa Casanova of Groves; son, Jamie DuBose and wife, Jessica of Houston; grandchildren, Blake Girlie, Kale Casanova, Lily DuBose; great-granddaughter, Aubrey Friedrich. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves followed by a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. with Reverend Kitty Keys officiating.
