James Patrick Gregory

James Patrick Gregory, 81, of Port Neches passed away Friday, May 15, 2020. James was born November 12, 1938 in Port Arthur to the late Stanley Taylor Gregory and Sadie Josephine Fontenot Gregory. He retired after 35 years of service as a Piping Designer with DuPont Beaumont Works. He also served his country in the U.S. Airforce.

James is survived by his wife, Nancy Gregory of Port Neches; his three sons, James Gregory and his wife Andi of Port Neches, Jason Gregory of Port Neches, and Chad Gregory and his wife Misti of Beckville; his sister, Patricia Ihle of Groves; his nine grandchildren, Alyssa, Noah, Emily, Tyler, Trevor, Jaret, Haley, Adam and Austin. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Arline Gregory.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 22, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland with Father Shane Baxter and Msgr. Dan Malain officiation with interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County. A rosary will be prayed of Thursday evening at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday May 21, 2020 followed by a gathering with friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Gregory, Jeret Gregory, Tyler Gregory, Noah Gregory, Trevor Gregory, Mark Underhill, John Underhill, James Underhill, and Austin Gregory.
