James Guidry
James Dudley Guidry, a dedicated member of Insulator Local #22 from which he retired, has passed away at his residence in Groves, Texas. Born on March 7, 1945, James lived a life full of warmth and kindness, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished.
Throughout his life, James found joy in supporting his family and cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events. His friendly and benevolent personality endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. James also had a passion for cooking for his loved ones, as well as enjoying the great outdoors through camping and fishing.
James' proudest accomplishments included his unwavering willingness to initiate fundraisers and offer help to those in need. His compassion and generosity knew no bounds, making a positive impact on the lives of many.
In the wake of his passing, James is survived by his beloved spouse, Sandy Guidry, along with his children: Todd Guidry (Teri) of Groves, Texas; Sean Guidry of San Antonio, Texas; Tamie Franks (Josh) of Port Neches, Texas; Toby Guidry (Tisa) of Port Neches, Texas. He also leaves behind grandchildren: Hope Guidry, Kory Guidry, Harlee Barnwell, Dean Guidry, Brooks Barnwell, Dawson Guidry, Kash Barnwell. His memory will be cherished by his sister Marilyn Roccaforte (Anthony) of Nederland and brother Ronald Guidry of Ingleside, IL.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dudley and Irene Guidry, and his brother, Robert Guidry.
In honoring James' life and legacy, visitation will take place on March 4th at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. A Rosary will follow at the same location from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM. The Funeral Service will then be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Cemetery in Port Neches.
James' presence will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul rest in peace as his memory lives on in the hearts of those he touched.
