James Henry Free

James Henry Free, 70, of Orange, Texas passed away January 22, 2012 at ChristusSt. Mary39s Hospital in Port Arthur, Texas. He was born August 4, 1941 in Cleveland, Mississippi to the late Claud Sr. and Fannie Mae Johnson Free. James was a beloved uncle. He loved cooking, fishing, music, and taking care of his nieces and nephews and all family members. He was a great gardener. He was a youngster with the youngsters.Funeral services will be held at Melancon39s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. David Meyers officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.James is preceded in death by his parents sister, Willie May Boggins and brothers, Jessie Free, Claud Free, Jr., and Charles Free. He is survived by his sisters, Mary Ann Horton of Buna, Vern Herrington of Mauriceville, and Ruby Frame of Deweyville brothers, Eugene Free and Jimmy Free, both of Deweyville, and Billy Free of Vidor 23 nieces and 19 nephews.
