James "Jamey" Donald Deloney, Jr.

James "Jamey" Donald Deloney Jr., 60, of Bridge City, Texas passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020 at Methodist Hospital in Houston surrounded by his family. Jamey was born February 1, 1960 in Port Arthur, Texas to James Donald Deloney and Martha Lee Thibodeaux Deloney. Jamey worked in the oil and gas industry for 42 years retiring from Dupont and ConocoPhillips.

Family was most important to Jamey and always came first. He loved planning summer vacations with family and vacations with friends making lasting memories. He lived life to the fullest.

A visitation for family and friends will begin at 4:00 pm on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the Methodist Temple in Port Arthur with a Memorial Service to follow from 6-7 pm with Reverend Phil Chamberlin officiating.

Jamey is survived by his wife, Sherri McBride Deloney of Bridge City, TX, parents, Jimmy and Marty Deloney of Port Neches, TX, daughter, Yelena Deloney of Port Neches, sons, Jamey Deloney III and wife Kelli of Montgomery, TX, Jace Deloney and Caroline Heitkamp of Austin, TX, step-son Adam Guillory and wife Leslie of Austin, TX, step-daughter, Chelsea Skinner and husband Ryan of Bridge City, TX, sisters, Sherry Deloney of Fort Worth, TX, Tammy Micallef and husband Tommy of Fort Worth, TX, brothers, Jed Deloney and wife Helen of Chaska, MN, Jody Deloney and wife Sandi of Lumberton, TX., eight grandchildlren and step-grandchildren, Landry Deloney, Adaline Deloney, Ruby Jane Deloney, Cace Skinner, Halle Skinner, Reece Skinner, Stella Guillory, and Jude Guillory.

Jamey was such a warm and wonderful person. We worked together for several years and I remember him as always being happy, always a smile on his face. He loved to live life to the fullest and loved his family so much. He will be greatly missed.

I've been thinking about Jamey the past few days and I realized a few days in that I just don't have a memory of him without a smile on his face. He was just a happy person that spread positivity and kindness to everyone he came in contact with.
