James "Jimmy" Donald Deloney, Sr., 82, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Friday, May 7, 2021 at Christus St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Jimmy was born October 8, 1938 in Minden, Louisiana to Donald "Don" Deloney and Mollie McGurk Deloney.
He was a 1957 Graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and attended Lamar University in Beaumont.
Jimmy was a resident of Port Neches for 57 years and a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. He taught CCD at St. Elizabeth, was a member of A.C.T.S, and was on the Planning and Zoning Board for the City of Port Neches for 42 years. Jimmy loved officiating football and baseball games for Port Neches-Groves.
Jimmy retired in 2001 from DuPont, he was a Lab Technician.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, May 21, 2021 from 9:45 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 21, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches with Reverend Shane Baxter officiating.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his son, James "Jamey" Deloney, Jr.
Surviving relatives include his wife of 63 years, Marty Deloney of Port Neches, Texas; daughters, Sherry Deloney McCampbell of Fort Worth, Texas and Tammy Micallef and husband Tom of Fort Worth, Texas; sons, Jody Deloney and wife Sandi of Lumberton, Texas and Jed Deloney and wife Helen of Minnesota; daughter-in-law, Sherri Deloney of Bridge City, Texas; grandchildren, Brigit Lopez, Victoria Boudreaux, Jaydon Martin, Ryan Deloney, Cameron Deloney, Collin Deloney, Ian Deloney, James Deloney III, Jace Deloney, and Yelena Deloney; great grandchildren, Keira Deloney, Landry Deloney, Ruby Deloney, and Adaline Deloney. Along with many relatives and friends.
