Grandpa Miguez, my grandfather, had such a big place in my heart. Bigger than he knew. My heart aches knowing I cant see him or hear his voice, but my spirit rejoices knowing he is in a much better place with no pain, fear, or worry. As I think about my sweet grandfather , I cant help but think about a buffet of food. :) Boudain, crawfish, and bluebell were always an option around grandpa. He loved it! I remember him showing my siblings and I how to peel crawfish, how to remove the casings from the boudain and he always squeezed extra chocolate syrup on my bowl of bluebell. Either way, we knew we were going to eat good and leave full when we visited he and my grandmother. He also gave me my first ever motorcycle ride at 5 years old on his Goldwing. So, Thank you Grandpa for those wonderful, sweet memories as well as many more! I will continue to pass on those memories to my 4 children so that your legacy will continue to live on!!!!! In Christ Alone, Candie Miguez Bynum

Remember Jimmy has a kid growing up in the former town of Lakeview now Port Arthur. Jimmy kept us rolling in laughter a lot. Later I worked with Jimmy out at Texaco and he was quite a character. Always fun to be around and he could tell some tales. To Jimmy's family no word's can express the sorrow I have for your loss.

I didn't know Mr Miguez personally but have been friends with his daughter Sherry for over 20 years. Having known Sherry for that long and knowing what kind of person she is I can't help but think how much she was like her father. Having seen the video and seeing the kind of family man he was solidifies that. May you all find peace and comfort in knowing that he is in a better place. My prayers will continue for your family. Sherry and Shannon i love you and will be thinking of you... Debbie Underwood
