James Harrison Miles, 56, of Port Acres, Texas passed away June 22, 2020. He was born in Loraine, Texas on July 17, 1963 to John Harrison Miles and Shirley Soliani Miles. James was a mechanic for United Rental for 13 years. He served his country proudly in the U. S. Marine Corps.

Those left to cherish James’s memory are his wife of 13 years, Evelyn Dianne Miles of Port Acres; his mother, Shirley Miles of Port Acres; his step-children, Nick Gonzales of California; Zachariah Turner of California; Martina Contreras of California; his brothers, John Wesley Miles and his wife Kathi of Nederland; and Jason Ed Miles and his wife Angela of Bridge City; his grandchildren, Jake Turner and Harmony Turner of Port Acres and Elijah Jerrett of California; also numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his father.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
