Jane Abshire

Jane Abshire, 99, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 at Hemphill Care Center.

Jane was born August 25, 1921 in Port Arthur, Texas to Willie Vaughn and Felicia Broussard Vaughn. She was a lifelong area resident until she moved to Hemphill in 2013.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband Abbie Abshire; brother, Russell Vaughn; sister, Anna Belle Lachausse and great grandson Stephen Andrews.

Survivors include daughter, Jalane Andrews and husband John "Butch" of Hemphill; twin sister, Jennie Romero of Galveston; grandchildren, Paulette Andrews Thomas of Texas City, Greg Andrews and his wife Sara of Virginia Beach, VA; great grandchildren, Kasey Cummins, Alex Andrews, Jonathan Andrews, Bowen Andrews, and Gray Andrews; niece, Lynn Crowder; nephew, Gil Romero.

Services for family and friends to be held at a later date.
