Jane Monroe Merrell, 87, of Groves, Texas passed away October 23, 2019. She was born in Savannah, Georgia on February 3, 1932.
Those left to cherish Jane’s memory are her son, Harvey “Buddy” Merrell of Nederland; her daughter, LaWanda Contreras of Washington; her grandchildren; and her great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harvey Lee Merrell, Sr.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, October 28, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland followed by a graveside service at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves at 11:00 a.m.
