Janet Marie Harris, 80, of Port Neches, Texas passed away October 9, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas on November 30, 1932 to the Late Robert and Romea Walker Chesson. She was a clerk for DuPont in Beaumont and a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church of Port Neches

Funeral services will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church of Port Neches on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Cliff Rucker officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Thursday, October 11, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James Irving Harris. She is survived by her son, Michael LeBlanc of Orange; step-son, David Harris of Houston; step-daughter, Debbie Tortillo of Groves; granddaughter, Amber Peterson of Littleton, Colorado; and grandson, Brandon LeBlanc of Orange.
