Janice Lee Capps, 77, of Beaumont, Texas passed away May 30, 2021. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas on September 23, 1943 to the late Lester Paul Brown and Verna Lee Deville Brown. Janice worked as a clerk for the United States Post Office before retiring.

Those left to cherish Janice’s memory are her daughters, Krysti Dockens and her husband John of Beaumont and Kari Sweeney and her husband John of Groves; her son, Kevin Lamm of Kountze; 18 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Judy Williamson; and her granddaughter, Kayla Lamm.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Monday, June 7, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service being held at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Randy Feldschau officiant. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
