Janice Boneau Scully of Nederland, Texas passed away January 26, 2014, surround by her family at her home. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas on October 14, 1940 to the late D. J. and Elise Boneau. She graduated from Bishop Byrne High School in 1959. She lived most of her life in Port Arthur. Janice was the owner/operator of Ace Hobby Store in Port Arthur and Nederland for 53 years.
Funeral services will be held at Melancon's Funeral Home in Nederland on Thursday, January 30, 2014, at 10:00 am with Father David Edwards and Rev. Steve O'Donohoe officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Port Arthur, Texas on 9th Avenue. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at the funeral home with a rosary starting at 6:30 pm.
Janice is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dick Scully. She is survived by her daughters, Felicia Rossi and husband, Robbie of Nederland, Lisa Simon and husband Bubba of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Gina Swain and husband, Eddy of Nederland; son, Richard Scully, Jr. of Nederland; grandchildren, Alicia Murphy Monk and husband Brandon, Patricia Nicar, Jimmy Swain, Lindsey Rossi, Matthew Swain, Jacey Rossi, Robbie Rossi, III, Caroline Scully and Mia Scully; great-grandchild, Kane Nicar; several nieces and nephews, and close friends she called family.
Her greatest blessings were her grandchildren and her Estee Lauder. And everyone who knew, knows her favorite color was blue.
