Janine Celeste Romero

Janine Celeste Romero, 90, of Groves, passed away May 20, 2016 in Houston, Texas. She was born August 12, 1925, in Meuse, France, to the late Gustave Berthelemy and Helene Leclaire Berthelemy.

Janine is survived by her son, Chris A. Romero & wife Karen of Houston, TX; daughters, Kathleen Williamson Saucier & husband Anthony of Missouri City, TX and Beatrice Marie Wood & husband Carl of Beaumont, TX; granddaughters; Tycie Knight and Leigh Ezzelle; grandsons, Rob Patton, T.J. Van Auken and Joshua Williamson; great-granddaughter, Lori Patton & Ellie Ezzelle; great-grandsons, Drake Patton, Michael and Justin Simmons. In addition to her parents, Janine was preceded in death by her husband, Simonet J. Romero and daughter, Barbara Jean Van Auken.

A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 6 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas, with Father Jaison Jacob officiating.
