Jean Delphine Witt

Jean Delphine Witt, 81, of Searcy, Arkansas and formerly of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Friday, August 26, 2011. Jean was born September 16, 1929 in Port Arthur, Texas to Jack Stansbury and Alice Alkier Stansbury. She was a longtime area resident and a retired teacher from Port Arthur ISD. Her joy was in the Lord and sharing His love through writing little devotional books. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Witt. Jean is survived by her son, Terry Witt of Searcy, AR; two daughters, Cindy LeBlanc and her husband, Dale of Nederland, TX and Patty Smith and her husband, Forrest of Searcy, AR; six grandchildren, Alison Willis and her husband Aaron, Scott and Chase LeBlanc and Caitlin, Logan and Connor Smith; a niece, Ann Deen; and a nephew, Mark Stansbury. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Mr. Dale LeBlanc officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

So sorry for your loss. Jean's friendship will always be special and I'll always remember many of life's "little" lessons she taught me. Ever since we became friends, I rerun many of our conversations in my head. I truly miss her. I am so sorry I won't be able to be with her family during the memorial.
