Late Wednesday night I received a phone call that brought on great sadness... My grandmother has passed on. The earth was blessed by her presence for nearly 92 years! My grandmother was so spunky, loving, and giving, but trust me you did not want to get on her bad side! She taught me so much about how to love the Lord, love your home, and love your husband through actions that would bring warmth and love to last a lifetime. My grandmother truly was a beautiful classy woman. Even in her final days there was not a day she didn't have filled with activities. She was always so pleasant to be around and her ability to always be dressed to impress, adorned with jewels, perfectly fixed hair and makeup usually left me in awe. Alex and I were blessed to spend a lot of time with her and my paw paw in our first year of marriage. To watch the love and caring they still had for each other even after 50 years of marriage was like watching a fairy tale and gave us true hope for our future together. Grandma, I am so grateful for all of the things you taught me about how to be lady, how to always put the Lord first, that you got to see me get married, and how being Mary Poppins made your world! I will never forget how after every show you attended you cried and told me how proud you are to be my grandma. I will miss you dearly and look forward to seeing you again in the future. I love you and am so proud to be your grandaughter. <3
