Jeanne H. Higgins

Jeanne H. Higgins, 90, of Nederland, Texas passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Oak Groves Nursing Home in Groves. She was born on August 11, 1924 in Milton, Louisiana to the late Joseph and Edna Hebert. She was a waitress in the restaurant industry for many years.

Mrs. Higgins is survived by her sons, Jerry Boudreaux his wife, Kay of Port Neches, TX, and Travis “Bubba” Correll and his wife, Jamie of Hamilton, Ohio; daughter, Mavis “Sissy” Welch and her husband, Frank of LaPorte, TX; sister, Leona Young of Lafayette, LA; two grandsons; and one great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carroll L. Higgins; sisters, Nolya Touchet, Elda Touchet, Eilene DuBois; and brothers, Moise Hebert, Andrew Hebert, Beddo Hebert, John Hebert, and Albert Hebert.

Graveside Services will be held at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Melancon’s Funeral Home on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. David Birdsong officiating.
