Jeanne Rene Singleton, 50, of Winnie, Texas passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016. Jeanne Rene was born March 24, 1965 in Houma, Louisiana to Jackie Ailsworth Duncan and Roslyn Josephine LaFleur Duncan. She was a resident of Winnie for 16 years and attended First Baptist Church of Winnie. She was a cosmetologist and owner of Jeanne Rene's Salon and Spa in Lafayette, Louisiana, Winnie, Texas and Jubail Saudi Arabia. Jeanne Rene, lived in Jubail Saudi Arabia for the last five years before falling ill. While there she learned to quilt, and left behind beautiful quilts to family and friends. Rene was also an avid gardener, witnessed by the lush landscaping at their ranch in Winnie and home in Crystal Beach. Survivors include her husband of 15 years, Joel Barnette Singleton of Winnie; three daughters, Kimberly Rene Chiasson of Lake Charles, LA, Shari Allison Strange and her husband Tim of Lumberton, TX, Cari Beth Fore and her husband Clint of Lumberton, TX; son, Russell Paul Chiasson of Winnie, TX; two sisters, Felicia Guidry of Cankton, LA, Belinda LeBlanc and her husband Tommy of Broussard, LA; two brothers, Rusty Duncan and his wife Jean of New Washington, OH, and Jackie Duncan of Dallas, TX; seven grandchildren, Emma, Abby, Braeden, Connor, Sawyer, Eric, and Reagan. Private graveside services will be held under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.
