Jeff "J.T." Norman

1960 ∼ 2026

Jeff "J.T." Norman, a dedicated family man and respected community member, passed away on March 10, 2026, in Nederland, Texas. Born on September 23, 1960, in Cleveland, Texas, Jeff lived a life marked by steadfast commitment to his work, family, and neighbors.

For over 30 years, Jeff devoted his career to Veolia Environmental Services, where he worked as a Furnace Operator. His expertise and work ethic earned him great respect in his field. Beyond the workplace, Jeff was known for his love of the outdoors; he especially loved fishing and spending time on the lake. A man of diverse interests, he was also an avid collector of guns and knives, appreciating the craftsmanship and history behind each piece. His strong sense of responsibility extended beyond his home; as the "Neighborhood Watchman", he worked tirelessly to support and protect his neighbors, embodying the spirit of vigilance and care that defined his character. Jeff also took pride in caring for and detailing the family vehicles, making sure everyone always had a safe (and good looking) ride.

Jeff was the beloved husband of Lori Norman. Together for 31 years, they shared a family filled with love and warmth. Jeff is lovingly remembered by his mother, Agnes Norman of Zavalla, Texas. He was the proud father of his sons, “P.J.” Norman, and Josh Hope of Nederland, TX, as well as his daughter, Chloe Roddy and her husband, Blake, of Austin, TX. Jeff’s legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Lola Hope of Nederland, and Wiltz and Poppy Roddy of Austin. Though he mourned the passing of his father, Jake Norman, Jeff remained a pillar of strength and support for his family throughout his life.

A Memorial Gathering to honor and remember Jeff’s life will be held on March 20, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas, located at 1605 Avenue H. Friends, family, and all whose lives he touched are invited to gather in remembrance of a man whose strength and steadfast spirit will be deeply missed.

Jeff "J.T." Norman leaves behind a legacy of dedication, care, and genuine love for those around him. His presence enriched the lives of many, and his memory will endure in the hearts of his family and community.

Memorial Contributions can be made to American Diabetes Association or a local animal rescue of your choice, in lieu of flowers.

I remember when J C. Adopted Jeff age 6 or 7. Jeff and I shared the same birthday. We where raised more like brother and sister than Aunt to nephew. Jeff would help with my twins when he lived with his grandma house. We had laughs, fights like kids always do. No more pain and health problems. Rest in heaven with all the family. Love Aunt jody
