When Jeff was 23, he and I were both visiting his brother, Charles, where he was stationed in Biloxi. Upon leaving, him returning to Dayton, we were both traveling the same roads. I asked him if he could drive his old auntie to my destination of New Orleans. He gave that shrug, mentioned he was carrying his surfboard and that inner N.O wasn't safe. Yet he did it anyway. Driving, he talked about a book, called "Love" by Leo Buscaggio. It was a small, red paperback. He was so excited about it. That he'd learned so much about living. Knowing how much he gave to Darian and Laura, parents, kept close to Charles and SO many friends, I can see that his mission, with the help of Jesus, was about love.
