Mr Fontenot was A Very Kind Guy, Alway’s friendly & stopped to say Hello. Use to see him frequently at Bruces Super Market in Groves, & many times at Central Mall Visiting his old buddies. He missed his wife Marilyn so much, started to tear up o e day, just talking about her. I graduated in 1957, from Thomas Jefferson, though we never ran around together, i knew who she was, & we were in a couple if classes together

What I remember most is when JERDY’s family came to visit his grandparents in Louisiana. We played corncob fights with uncle and cousins and he had a mean throw that left me with a bruise. We played soccer with old sticks and a can which left us with more bruises. At Christmas time, we all loved playing outside in the dark with firecrackers and sparklers. At bedtime we had to sleep crosswise in bed as we were too many to sleep the right way. Grandparents baby sat as our parents went partying. RIP JERDY while I dwell in memories.
