Jerome E. Burleson, 77, of Allen, Texas passed away Sunday, May 17, 2020 at his home. He was born May 18, 1942 in Wichita, Kansas to Helena Coles Burleson. Jerome proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was retired as a Lab Technician from Saybolt. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with a graveside service to follow at 10:30 a.m. at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. Jerome is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Virginia "Ginger" Burleson of Allen, Texas, daughter, Misty Little and husband, Paul of Mississippi, son, Greg Burleson and wife Jenna of Allen, Texas, and four grandchildren, Triston Little, Elizabeth Little, Lucas Burleson and Parker Burleson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonzo E. Burleson and Helena Coles Burleson and brother, Lon Paul Burleson.

I used to call him my Uncle Gumby! I have been searching to get back in touch for years... Everyone grew too far apart after my daddy died! Oh Ginger, Misty, Greg & family... I'm sorry to hear of cousin Jerry's passing. I have fond memories of him. My brother Darold & sister Sherry Lynn often told stories of when they and Jerry were little kids.
