Jerry Lynn Fox, 63 of Hamshire, TX, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at his residence. Jerry was born June 9, 1953 in Beaumont to Finas “Pete” and Mary “Ercelle” Doucette Fox. He was a process operator at Ameripol-Synpol.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Fox of Hamshire, TX; daughter, Jera Plasencia of Hamshire, TX; son, Jason Fox and wife, Shanda of Tonganoxie, Kansas; grandchildren, Tyler Fox, Jaylin Plasencia, Abigail Fox, Ava Fox, Anna Fox and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronnie Fox.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Friday, September 2, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland.

I met Jerry after going to work for B.F.Goodrich in 1977. The most descent MAN I ever met. I saw personally how much pain that he was in because of all the back issues and surgeries he had gone through. Even though I did not know his family personally, my heartfelt condolences go out to all of you. A man I will never forget.
