Jerry Jack Singleton

June 2, 1939 — October 4, 2018

Jerry Jack Singleton, 79 of Groves, Texas passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018. He was born in Nederland, Texas on June 2, 1939 to the late Andrew Jack Singleton and Blanche Virginia Ballard Singleton. He served his country proudly in the U. S. Air Force and a Volunteer Fireman for Port Neches. Jerry was a machinist for Neches Butane for 37 years before retiring.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 17 years, Charlotte Singleton of Groves; his son, Larry Singleton and his wife, Carlene of Port Neches; his step-sons, Mike Smith and James Smith both of Groves; his sister, Ginger Singleton of Nederland; his grandchildren, Spencer Singleton, Trevor Singleton and wife, Brianne; and his great-grandson, Oliver Rhett Singleton. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Elaine Singleton.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. Funeral services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., Pastor Francis Schroeder officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
