Jerry Talbot, Sr., 77, of Houston/formerly of Port Neches, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017, at his residence. Jerry was born on April 12, 1940, in Port Neches to the late, Stanley Pierre Talbot and Mary McBride Talbot. He served his country in the Air Force during the Bay of Pigs and retired from the Army National Guard. He was a member of the 211 Dredge Engineer Detachment. Jerry was a retired copier technician in the copier and printing industry. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches.
Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 58 years, Patsy Talbot of Houston; son, Jerry Paul Talbot, Jr. of Houston; daughters, Nicole Talbot Davis of Ashland, OH, Amanda Talbot O’Neal and husband, Kevin of Houston; sisters, Myrna Talbot McDonald and husband, Wayne of Newton, TX, Linda Talbot Mason and companion, Bob O’Connor of Nederland; grandchildren, Josh Talbot, Shannon Davis Shields, Caleb Talbot, Jeremy Davis, Travis Bradley and Sydney Bradley; great-grandchildren, Mallory Shields and Addie Shields. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; son, Sean Patrick Talbot and daughter, Marla Talbot.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Friday, December 22, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 2:00 p.m. also on Friday, December 22, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches with Father Shane Baxter, Celebrant and the interment will be at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
