Mike & Russ, I'm so sad to hear of your mom passing away. She has always been "Miss Gil" as long as I've know her. One day at the Constable's office she told me I could call her Jewel if I wanted to. I replied, "if it's OK I'd like to just keep calling you "Miss Gil". She smiled, gave me a hug and said it would be fine. On one of the hardest days of my life I came back to the office and she said something to me that I have as a cherished memory of her. You always hear there's no such thing as "perfect people" and maybe there isn't. But I can tell you there's some that are close and one would be Miss Gil. I'll never forget her.

Jewel was a beautiful soft spoken woman who touched many lives though her kindness and her love for Christ. I am blessed to have known her. I pray for her family as they gather to celebrate her remarkable life.

Mrs. Gil will be greatly missed. I first met her through Bruce's Market Basket as I waited on her and Mr. Gil when they came to get their paper Credit Card from the courtesy booth. Then we really got to know her during the preparation of Debbie and Mike's wedding. She and I have been fond Facebook friends for years reliving shared memories of good times. She and Mr. Gil were an amazing couple and both will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace and may the perpetual light shine upon you.

Jewel will be so missed by everyone who knew her, and if you knew her, you loved her. My neighbor for 41 years. This had left a hole in my heart, yet I rejoice because she is with Jesus, and she is healed. I'm sure Heaven had a great homecoming party for her.❤️
