Jimmy Shannon Hill, Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on September 9, 2025, in Beaumont, Texas. He was born on July 15, 1960, in Winchester, Tennessee. His presence impacted many lives, and he will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jimmy dedicated his professional life to his role as a Contract Maintenance Supervisor for various companies, including Brand and Exxon Mobil, where he made significant contributions to his team and the company. Beyond his fulfilling career, he was a faithful member of LaBelle Baptist Church and found great joy in attending services, embodying a spirit of devotion and faith that inspired those around him.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Jimmy's service to his country is a testament to his character and commitment. He cherished spending time with his family at their camp, creating memories filled with laughter and love. His passion for the outdoors was evident through his hobbies, which included hog and deer hunting, as well as fishing. He was known for his love of dogs, often welcoming 10 to 12 dogs into his home, showcasing his nurturing nature.

Jimmy is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Rhonda Hill of Beaumont; his son, Jason Hill of Beaumont; and his daughter, Kristen Colburn (Clayton) of Port Neches. He is also survived by his father, Jimmy Shannon Hill, Sr.; his brother, Michael Hill (Marla Stills) of Winchester, Tennessee; his sister, Tammy Hunt (Kenny) of Winchester, Tennessee; and his beloved grandchildren, Jacob Mullin, Jimmy Mullin, Aubree Hilton, and Allister Colburn. Additionally, he is survived by his nephew, Dakota Hunt; his niece, Kala Barnett (Timothy); his great-nephew, Weston Barnett; and his great-niece, Hailey Grace Sons.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Hill, and his grandmother, Ida Hessey.

Visitation for Jimmy will be held on September 17, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 AM, at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H, Nederland, TX 77627.  A graveside service will be held at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas following the service.

As we remember Jimmy Shannon Hill, Jr., we celebrate a life filled with love, faith, and cherished moments. His legacy will continue through the many lives he touched and the heartfelt memories created in his presence.

Jimmy was always positive, regardless of what he was going through. When I was having a bad day, Jimmy could always brighten my day. He loved the Lord and was glad to share his faith with others. We will miss him, but God has a better plan for him now.
