Jimmy T. Rawls, 84, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Cypress Glen in Port Arthur. Jimmy was born March 15, 1928 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Riley M. Rawls and Bernice L. Vaden Rawls. He was an area resident for 50 years and member of First Baptist Church of Port Neches. He held a bachelors degree in chemistry and engineering, and retired from Unocal as a chemical engineer after 34 years of service. He was also a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Rawls. Survivors include his son, Riley Rawls and wife, Tisha of Groves, TX; sister, Betty Tucker of Arlington, TX; grandchildren, Randi Rawls of Beaumont, TX, Reese Rawls, Riley A. Rawls, Raysi Rawls, Raney Rawls and Rynzi Rawls all of Groves, TX. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Groves First Baptist Church with Dr. Joe Worley officiating.
