Jo Anna Cousins, 85, of Nederland, Texas passed away June 25, 2019. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas on June 11, 1934 to the late James Werner and Joicey Patterson Werner. Jo Anna served as a bookkeeper for 18 years before retiring from Nederland State Bank and was a member of First Baptist Church in Nederland.
Those left to cherish Jo Anna’s memory are her husband of 65 years, Melvin Cousins of Nederland; her daughter, Tamara “Tami” Landry and her husband, Darrell of Lumberton; her son, Michael “Mike” Cousins and his wife, Tiffany of Nederland; her brother, Wallace Werner and his wife, Beverly of Port Neches; her grandchildren, Jenna Breaux, Cherie Cousins, Adam Cousins, Charles Cousins, and Andrew Cousins; and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Jo Anna is preceded in Death by her sisters, Millie Belcher and Arlene Toland, and her brother, Randy Werner.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, July 1, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland with a Memorial Service being held at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Jason Burden officiant.
