Jo Ann Smith

Jo Ann Smith, 71, of Nederland passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at her residence in Nederland. She was born October 6, 1942 in Beaumont to the late Bertram and Marie Folks and lived in Nederland for 48 years. She was retired from Mid-Jefferson Hospital in Nederland as a LVN with 20 years of service.

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland with Rev. Donald Bean officiating, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of the family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Jo Ann is survived by her husband, Freeman of Nederland; two daughters, Angela Holt and her husband Donald of Orange, and Vicky Hebert-Ledoux of Holly Springs Georgia; three sons, Mark Smith and his wife Michele of Port Acres, Donald Hebert of Hockley, and Craig Hebert and his wife Yen of Sulphur, Louisiana; also two sisters, two brothers, eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
