JoAnn Klebba, a longtime resident of Groves, Texas, peacefully passed away on April 17, 2024, at the age of 94. She was surrounded by family and friends, loving care and comfort at Lewis Park Estates Senior Living in Conroe, Texas.
Born July 28, 1929, in Grand Saline, Texas, JoAnn was the beloved daughter of Claud Copenhaver and Elvie Petty. JoAnn is a 1947 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and attended Port Arthur College. She was a talented seamstress and an artist. Her flair for Jazzercise, line dancing, gardening, crafting, and reading showcased her diverse interests and creative spirit. Her passion for life was truly infectious. She found pleasure in the simple things and lived each day to the fullest.
An avid lover of games and puzzles, JoAnn’s competitive streak shone through in everything she did. Dominating dominos to solitaire, she always brought her A-game. JoAnn will forever be remembered for her competitive nature, a quality that drove her to excel in all aspects of her life.
She taught computer classes for Seniors and was very active in Senior Citizen community events, where she found companionship and joy in the company of friends. She was a social butterfly who followed Facebook and enjoyed connecting with others through her iPhone and tablet. After leaving the Triangle area in 2013 to reside near family in Kingwood and Conroe, JoAnn continued to share her gifts through volunteerism. In Kingwood, she was an ambassador for new residents, made welcome baskets, and set up seasonal decorations. In Conroe, she designed inspirational cards for Hospice patients.
JoAnn’s life was enriched with many special friends. In her final days exceptional care was provided by Devotion Hospice. She had a special place in her heart for the ENTIRE loving staff and residents at Lewis Park Estates. Thank you for your help, kindness, and friendships.
JoAnn leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will always be remembered. Throughout her life, each of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were a source of immense joy for her. JoAnn celebrated every moment shared with each one of them and delighted in sharing stories with anyone that would listen.
