Joanna “JoJo” Smith Adams, 51 of Vidor, Texas passed away October 22, 2018. She was born on June 30, 1967 in Groves, Texas to Richard Lee Smith, Sr. and Georgia L. Smith. Joanna was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

Those left to cherish Joanna’s memory are her husband of 15 years, Harold R. Adams of Vidor; her daughter, Emily Leger and her husband, David of Manvel; son, Christopher A. Surber of Vidor; her step-daughters, Erran Adams and Savannah Adams, both of Vidor; her grandsons, David Wayne Leger, III and Dylan Ray Leger; her parents, Ray and Georgia Feemster of Nederland; her mother and father-in-law, Paul and Rhonda Adams of Vidor; her brothers, Richard lee Smith, Jr of Shreveport, LA, James Robert Smith of San Antonio, Gregory Feemster of Nederland, Darryl Feemster of Port Neches, and Rodney Shoemaker of Port Neches; her sister, Angela Richard of Mauriceville; her sister-in-law, Heather Adams of Vidor; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Lee Smith, Sr. and her step-mother, Jean Smith.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland with interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
