Catherine Sue, I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember Joe as one of the nice fathers on the block who, along with your mom, kept us "Lawndale boys" in check. What a blessing it has been for you to have had your dad with you for this long and the fact that you have that opportunity to be reunited with him one day.

Very sorry to hear about this, uncle Joe and I were the last two Lovelace's left of {papa shorty's} line, now there's only one left. Although I didn't know him as well as I would have preferred, he did try to reach out to me especially after my estranged father died and wanted to keep in touch with me afterwards. I will always be grateful and respectful to him for that. ] ]
