Joe Daniel Montalbo, 67, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Friday, May 26, 2017 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Joe was born March 19, 1950 in Bay City, Texas to Faustino Montalbo and Olivia Cervantes Montalbo. He was a resident of this area for thirty-two years and a member of the Catholic faith. Joe retired as a Master Electrician and then began working for BJ Transport. He was also a US Army Vietnam Veteran. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches followed by a Vigil service at 11:00 a.m. He was preceded in death by his father, Faustino Montalbo, his wife, Pam Morris, three brothers, and a sister. Surviving relatives include his mother, Olivia Montalbo of Bay City, Texas; sisters, Rosa Garcia and her husband Domingo of Angleton, Texas; Mary Jasso of Bay City, Texas; brothers, Manuel Montalbo and his wife Linda of Concord, Arkansas; Gilberto "Tito" Montalbo of Rosenberg, Texas. The family will be having a memorial service in Bay City, Texas at a later date.
