My husband, Charles Lee and Joe worked together at the instrument shop, Texaco and they were great friends! I last saw Joe at Charles' visitation and was so glad he came. May your memories comfort you.

My most vivid childhood memories include Mr. Joe. He was kind and always eager to let me tag along to see the great Golden Gators. I spent countless innings cheering on some of todays most legendary players such as Benito Santiago, Jose Cruz, and John Kruk from what I would describe the best seats in the housebehind home plate beside Mr. Joe. I also enjoyed our yearly trip to the Houston Gun Show where I grew an appreciation and knowledge of guns and Mexican food! I always looked forward to occasional trips to the farm to fish, where every cast felt like it might be the big one. I am blessed to have had a neighbor who was my friend, and took time to mentor a young boy. My prayers go out to all of his family members who will miss him and will certainly continue his goodwill. Once again, thank you for the memories.

Joe was clearly a great father and role model. His influence lives on today through my friend David. I am sure, as a father, Joe was so proud of David and his diligent work to support his family, friends, and his community, particularly through Boy Scouting.
