John W. Ardoin, 90, of Nederland passed away Friday, June 10, 2022, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. John was born in Chataignier, Louisiana on April 9, 1932 to the late Lydia (Manuel) Ardoin and Enos Ardoin.
John proudly served his country in The United States Army and was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland. He was a hardworking man who enjoyed keeping himself busy. John loved working in his yard and being a mechanic.
John was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Mary Eldine Ardoin; daughter, Diana Dixson; and baby brother, Larry Gayle.
Those left behind to cherish John’s memory are his children, Debbie Prosperie and husband, Joey of Port Neches, TX; Sandra LeBlanc and husband, Anthony of Breaux Bridge, LA; Christy Ramirez and husband, Mark of Port Arthur, TX; Annette Lee of Port Neches, TX; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral service to begin at 11:00 a.m., at Melancon’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, with full military honors to be provided by The Southeast Texas Veteran’s Service Group.
