so sorry to hear about the loss of Mr. Beard. He was my 5th grade teacher and the one thing I always remember is that he had to put up with a lot with me and still was a great teacher. They do not make them like that anymore. My deepest thoughts and prayers to his family MJ ...in His grace...

Mr. Beard was a teacher at Groves Elementary for many years. While he was not my teacher, I know of him as he earned a wonderful reputation as a caring and loving man and remarkable teacher. Many who grew up in the 1960s and 70s are remembering him fondly as we connect on social media. May this knowledge of his legacy bring comfort to his family during this sad time. Rest in Peace Mr. Beard.

Im praying for your family. Many years ago Mr. Beard was my 5th grade teacher. I remember still some of the lessons he taught even more important were his lessons on patience, kindness and gentleness that he lived.

Dear Margaret Ann, We were so very sorry to learn of your father's passing. I just heard last night and thought that the services, etc. were over before today. We are sorry we couldn't be there for you. We don't take the paper so didn't know about the services til just now. Would love to see or hear from you. God bless you and you have our prayers. Mother and Daddy must be living it up with your folks now! (Darley and Pearl Bodden) Heaven is rejoicing, praise God!

My deepest sympathies to the family of the late John Beard on his passing. I only briefly met him several years ago while visiting my uncle. Darley Bodden, in Port Neches, Texas but my female sibling, Arlene, was well acquainted with him and the family. Rest in eternal heavenly peace, Mr. Beard!
