John David Broussard, 64, of Port Arthur, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. David was born on February 4, 1958 in Port Arthur to the late John Dalton Broussard and Ollie Ruth O’Neal Broussard.

David was a kind and gentle soul that loved his family, neighbors, friends, and his adorable dog, Bentley. He was the type of person that was willing to help anyone in need, and he dedicated over twenty years of his life taking care of his mother full time. When David wasn’t helping others, he enjoyed spending time tending to his garden and beautiful plants. David had a big heart full of love for others and he will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Those left behind to cherish David’s memory are his sister, Debbie Spiris and her husband, George; and many loving nieces and nephews. David is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jimmy Don Perritt; and his sister, Linda McAdams.

A gathering of family and friends to honor the life of John David Broussard will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas. A Memorial Service in David’s honor will immediately follow the gathering and will begin at 6:00 p.m. at Melancon’s on Tuesday.
