John "J.V." Chauvin, 90, of Bridge City, Texas passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 at his residence. J.V. was born October 3, 1927 in Houma, Louisiana to Israel Victor Chauvin and Katherine Faslund Chauvin. He was a resident of Bridge City for sixty years and was a Process Control Coordinator at Firestone retiring in 1982 and was also the founder of Big Red Air Conditioning in Bridge City. J.V. was a WWII US Army Signal Corp. Veteran. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. J.V. was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-two years, Joan Chauvin, one sister and two brothers. Surviving relatives include his son, Vance Chauvin and his wife Cyndie of Bridge City, Texas; grandson, Bryan Chauvin; great-grandchildren, Emma Chauvin and Keagan Landry.
