John Henry Hinson

John Henry Hinson, 67, of Nederland, Texas passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2014 at Pinehurst Nursing and Rehabilitation in Orange. He was born in Conroe, Texas to the late William Monroe Hinson and Marie Holt. He worked in construction as a carpenter and served his country proudly in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his daughters, Deana Shoffitt of Seattle, WA; Jennifer Hinson and Johnie Hinson of Orange, TX; sons, Jeffrey Hinson and Jonothan Hinson of Port Arthur, TX; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; brothers, Tommy Hinson, Jimmy Hinson, and Thomas Hinson all of Nederland, TX; and sister, Juanita Hinson of Nederland, TX. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends. John is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Brother David Hinson officiating at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland.

John will be missed by all who knew him.
