John Roland Landry, 60, of Groves, Texas passed away Friday, March 19, 2021 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. John was born June 10, 1960 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Wallace and Luella Landry. He was employed with Gulf Coast Sheet Metal as a fitter. John was passionate about his family and friends. He had a love for animals, motorcycles, and his cowboy hat and boots. He enjoyed watching wrestling and listening to all types of music.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace Simon Landry, Sr., and Luella Ruby Blanco Landry; brothers, Wally Landry and Donald “Lee” Landry; and niece, Wendy Landry.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Lori Landry of Groves, TX; daughter, Nicole Landry; step-children, Candice Farris and her husband, Blake, Jared Holm and partner, Jewelry Moore; grandchildren, Coy and Sofia Farris, Austyn Moore and Layla Michaud; mother-in-law, Nancy Guidry; sisters-in-law, Dianne Landry, Tina Landry and Jill Hughes. Mr. Landry also leaves behind nieces and nephews, Dawn Landry Johnson and her husband, Kasey; Trey Landry and his wife, Barbara; Kelli Landry Deloney and her husband, Jamey; DJ Landry, Deana Landry, Chase Hughes and partner, Briana Lopez; great nieces and nephews, Kameron Landry, Hayden Johson, Hadley Johnson, Reid Landry, Raleigh Landry, Landry Deloney, Adaline Deloney, Ruby Deloney, Gabe Landry, Dylan Landry, Kaci Henson, Whitney Henson, and Erin Landry; great-great nephew and niece, Landry and Axton Bridwell.
A gathering of friends and relatives will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life Service to begin at 6:00 p.m., Friday, March 26, 2021, at Melancon’s Funeral Home.
