John "J.C." Richardson, affectionately known to his friends as "Heavy C", of Nederland, Texas, passed away on August 10, 2024, at the young age of 62. Born on February 13, 1962, in Livingston, Texas, J.C. was a beloved husband, father, son, and friend whose vibrant spirit touched many lives throughout his journey.
J.C. dedicated over thirty-five years of his professional life to the oil and gas industry, serving as the Vice President of Technical Sales for Spindletop Energy Products. His commitment to his career was undeniable, but it was his larger-than-life personality that truly made him stand out. He was known for being outgoing, fun-loving, and unfailingly loyal, leaving an everlasting impression on everyone who crossed his path.
A proud graduate, J.C. attended A&M University before earning his bachelor's degree from Lamar University, experiences that fostered a deep appreciation for knowledge and connection. He often reminisced about his college days and was an ardent supporter of his beloved Aggies, while humorously expressing his disdain for the Cowboys.
Outside of work, J.C. reveled in a variety of hobbies and interests. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and riding dirt bikes. J.C. had a special fondness for his lake house in Livingston, Texas, where he made countless memories with his loved ones. He cherished his time spent outdoors, connecting with nature and indulging in the simple pleasures of life.
J.C.'s deep love for his family was paramount. He is survived by his best friend and devoted wife, Debra "Kepi" Richardson, with whom he shared a bond that transcended the ordinary; every night, they would double tap their wedding rings before going to bed, a testament to their soulmate connection. He also leaves behind his sons, Paul Harrison of Seattle, Washington; and Dylan Harrison of Portland, Oregon; along with his mother, Martha Moore Richardson. J.C. is further survived by his sister, Sandy Cantwell, her husband Breene, and their son Nick. In addition, his cherished fur babies held a special place in his heart, treated with the same love he offered to his family.
J.C. was preceded in death by his father, Charles Ray Richardson. His legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will be eternally remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. As he joined his Heavenly Father his first comment was, "Heavy C is in the House".
