Johnnie K. Adams, 95, of Beaumont, Texas formerly of Groves passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. Johnnie was born in Port Arthur, Texas on February 27, 1921 to John Samuel King and Henrietta Nugent King. She was a lifelong area resident and member of Groves First Baptist Church for 35 years. Johnnie was a member of Park Place Auxiliary and the Medical Center of Southeast Texas Auxiliary. Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth Sessions and her husband Jerry of Nederland, TX; three sons, Lt. Col. John P. Adams and his wife Margie of Shalimar, FL, Jim Adams and his wife Rory of Keithville, LA, CWO 5 David Adams and his wife Lydia of Midlothian, TX; sister, Dorothy Scott of West Monroe, LA; fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation for family and friends will be Friday, February 24, 2017 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be at 12 noon, Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves with Mr.Tom Hicklin officiating.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to the Medical Center of Southeast Texas Auxiliary.

You could look the world over and not find a more sweeter, kinder, loving person than Johnnie. She and Jimmy were dear friends of our Parents (Arthur & Ina Dixon) Our Parents thought "the world" of Johnnie & Jimmy. On behalf of the Dixon children, we are so sorry for the loss of your Sweet Mother.

Ms. Johnnie will be missed dearly by all at Brookdale Dowlen Oaks. She was a very beautiful, wonderful, and loving and so kind to all she came in contact with. Miss Johnnie you will be missed by all!!! We all know about how much fun you had playing Bingo--!!! I will certainly miss you----Vicki
