Johnnie Lee Hyatt, 89, of Lumberton, Texas passed away on February 22, 2011 in Beaumont. He was retired from Gulf Oil Refinery as an operator. He was born in Jasper County, Texas on August 16, 1921 to the late Lee and Mattie Elizabeth Morgan Hyatt. He served his country proudly in the U. S. Navy during World War II.A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon39s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H, in Nederland on Friday, February 25, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. with Mr. Gary Hyatt officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the Magnolia Springs Cemetery in Magnolia Springs, Texas.He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Vivian Irene Collins Hyatt of Lumberton son, Gary Hyatt and wife Cheryl of Greenville 4 daughters, Susie Cutaia and husband Michael of Houston, Mary Ann Cutaia and husband Tony of Conroe, Joyce McNeely and husband William of Port Neches, and Janet Skarbek of The Woodlands 10 grandchildren 4 greatgrandchildren and brother, James quotSonnyquot Milton and wife Nell of Magnolia Springs. He is preceded in death by his parents first wife Lillie of 44 years and brother, Paul Hyatt.
