Johnnie Mae West

Johnnie Mae West, 79, of Port Neches, Texas passed away March 27, 2011 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. She was born in Nederland, Texas on October 6, 1931 to the late John Wesley and Winnie Sanderson. She retired as a bookkeeper for the City of Port Arthur Credit Union. Johnnie was a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church in Nederland.A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, March 29th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Melancon39s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 30th at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, Pastor Kevin quotKickerquot McWilliams officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.She is survived by her son, James West and wife Beth of Nederland two daughters, Peggy Crosby and husband John of Port Neches and Jeannine Paull and husband John of Denver, Colorado six grandchildren, Jeremy West, Hailey West, Clay Collins, Shanna Bales, Courtney Shoemaker, and Camille Shoemaker four greatgrandchildren, Clover Bales, Stevie West, Xander West, and Sawyer West and two sisters, Mary Pullin and Elsie Root. She is preceded in death by her parents husband James K. West two sisters and one brother.
