Jolene Hines Neeley

Jolene Hines Neeley, of Groves, passed away peacefully at her home on July 1, 2019. Jolene was born July 27,1929 to Ellis M. Hines and Gertrude Hill Hines in Mountain View, Oklahoma. She was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and married Charles Albert Neeley. She loved history and volunteered with the Port Arthur Library for several years, identifying old photos. A pet lover all her life, she and Charlie were owners of several beautiful, fortunate dogs that lived a very special life. Her last dog, Mollie, was a wonderful companion to Jolene and was very well taken care of. Jolene also loved to watch the stock market daily on the Fox Business Network. A kind, gentle lady, she will be missed by those who loved her so much. Jolene was preceded in death by her parents and husband Charles Albert Neeley. She is survived by her niece Gail Ikerd Busseau of Florida, nephew Peter Ikerd of Florida, several cousins in Oklahoma, loving neighbor and caregiver, Kathy Rogers of Groves,TX and friends, Lynda and Larry Sanford of Buna, TX and Linda and Carl Rose of Marble Falls, TX. Any donations in memory of Jolene should be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas located in Beaumont, TX. Services are being handled by Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Visitation will at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Faith Mausoleum, Port Arthur, TX on Saturday, July 6th, at 10:00 am with service to follow at 11:00 am.
