Jonathan David Savoie

Jonathan David (Johnny) Savoie of Orange, TX passed away peacefully at his home on December 22, 2024.

Johnny was born on November 29, 1948, in Port Arthur, TX to Clyde Emile Savoie Sr. and Theresa Bernard Savoie.

Johnny was a well know mechanic for more than 50 years in the Golden Triangle area where he touched the hearts of many. When Johnny was not working hard to provide for his family, he enjoyed fishing and hanging out with friends and family where he charmed us all with his amazing voice singing Al Green. Johnny was a loving and giving man and he never meet a stranger. He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City, TX, and a member of Knights of Columbus Council 3406 also in Bridge City, TX.

Johnny is proceeded in death by his wife of 51 years Rita Gail Savoie, parents Clyde Savoie Sr. and Theresa Savoie, sisters Judy Hamilton and Bonnie Savoie.

Those left to cherish his memory are his, son Todd Savoie of Beaumont, TX, daughter Tiffani Savoie DeCuir and husband Jerimy of Orange, TX, brother Clyde Savoie Jr. and wife Billie of Groves, TX, cousins Nancy and Kenny Landry of Nederland, TX, sister-in-law Peggy Payne and husband Jimmy of Beaumont, TX, brother-in-law Darryl Breaux and wife Esma of San Antonio, TX, grandchildren Bailey DeCuir and his partner Jaclyn Stein of Nederland, TX, Jacob DeCuir of Orange, TX, great granddaughters Ellie and Alena DeCuir both of Nederland, TX, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Johnny’s wish was to not have a service, and the family will respect his wish. There will be a gathering of family and friends at The Boudain Hut in Port Arthur, TX on January 4, 2025, from 12:00pm to 5:00 pm.

The family would like to thank Deacon Steve Obernuefemann for giving Johnny his final blessing and sending him home to be with Rita as they rejoice in God’s heavenly kingdom.
