Jose Jiliberto Alvarez, 39, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Monday, March 16, 2015 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Jose was born January 7, 1976 in Jesus Maria, Jalisco, Mexico to Jose Alvarez and Maria Lopez. He was a resident of Port Arthur for 7 years and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He was employed as a carpenter for Torres House Repairs. Survivors include his wife, Sofia Gonzalez of Port Arthur, TX; parents, Mr. Jose Alvarez and Mrs. Maria Lopez; two sons, Bryan Alvarez and Alonso Alvarez both of Port Arthur, TX; four sisters, Graciela Alvarez and husband Humberto Flores of Corpus Christi, TX, Maria Leticia Alvarez and husband Francisco Vasquez of Mexico, Maria Ramirez and husband Manuel Mascorro of Corpus Christi, TX, Ramona Ramirez and husband Jose Perez of Corpus Christi, TX; five brothers, Efran Alvarez and wife Angelica Melena of Corpus Christi, TX, Juan Alvarez and wife Eresmia Salazar of Corpus Christi, TX, Jose Luis Alvarez and wife Karina DeLeon of Corpus Christi, TX, Roberto Alvarez and wife Lucia Aguirre of Corpus Christi, TX and Reverend Juan Manuel of Mexico. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 21, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Arthur, Texas with Reverend Brother Juan Manuel Ramirez Lopez officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
