Jose Adolfo Hernandez, 40, of Groves, Texas passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur, Texas.

Jose was born on May 14, 1981, in El Salvador to Maria Hernandez. He was an A.C. Technician for Chavez Air and a member of the Christian Faith. Jose loved helping other people; enjoyed going to different restaurants with family and friends; he also like to read the bible, watching Dragon Ball Z and soccer on T.V. and loved his dogs and his plants. He was known as a hard worker but mostly he loved his family and loved being around them as well as all his friends and co-workers.

He is survived by his wife of sixteen years, Blas Aracely Ruiz de Hernandez of Groves; daughter, Amanda Hernandez of Groves; siblings, Amanda Lizeth Velasquez, Wilmer Velasquez, Maximo Velasquez, Jorge Hernandez and Selvin Hernandez. Jose essentially had two mothers, Olga Hernandez of Honduras and Maria Hernandez of El Salvador.

A Visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday, November 5, 2021, at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. A Funeral Service to Honor Jose Adolfo Hernandez will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas
