Jose Ramirez Jose Ramirez, 81, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. He was born on July 17, 1932 in Port Arthur, Texas to Fernando Ramirez and Eulalia Collazo Ramirez. Jose was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus #1304, and O.C.A.W. He retired from Texaco as a welder after 44 years of service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Arthur with Reverend D. Stephen McCrate officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with a rosary service to begin at 7:00 p.m. Jose was preceded in death by his wife of 15 years, Melvenia Ramirez. He is survived by his two daughters, Desiree "Josette" Post of Groves, and Desirae "Annette" King and husband, Ron of Port Arthur, six sons, Fernando Ramirez and wife, Tina of Austin, David Ramirez of Crosby, Michael Ramirez of New Orleans, Danny Ramirez of Port Arthur, Paco Ramirez and wife, Beth of Port Neches, and Eddie Ramirez and wife, Melissa of Port Neches, two sisters, Rosie Rumsey of Orangefield and Lupe LeBlanc of Nederland, two brothers, Tony Ramirez of Port Arthur, and Jesse Villareal and wife, Lenora of Beaumont, twenty six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and his former wife of 30 years, Amalia Jimenez Agular of Port Arthur.

Daddy you will dearly missed, you were a great dad a wonderful grandfather,I know evertime I seen you I would tell you I love you an with a hug I would leave, but I feel like I didnt tell you enough ,I will miss our sunday morning breakfests, you had made your peace in god a long time ago dad an I know your in gods hands now an I know we will all be togeather again.
